Dr hemlock and emerie karr season 3 bad batch

The Bad Batch Season 2 finale left many Star Wars fans stunned with big surprises and a massive cliffhanger. We’ll look at what Season 3 of the popular animated show could bring, including the clone experiments on Mount Tantiss.

After Crosshair was taken into Doctor Royce Hemlock‘s custody in episode 14. Many viewers had the assumption that he would be rescued in the final episode of Season 2, and that all of the clones would move on to face some new challenges.

However, that was not to be the case. Despite Crosshair’s best efforts in warning the other clones of the danger and capabilities that Hemlock had at his disposal, they did not heed it and paid the ultimate price in the Season 2 finale. As we move forward, the heroes find themselves in an unusual situation, with everyone losing and little hope left remaining.

What we know about The Bad Batch Season 3

Bad Batch Season 3 confirmed

On April 10, Lucasfilm confirmed that The Bad Batch will be coming back to Disney Plus for a third and final season. They announced the news, that we have all been waiting for, during the Day 4 live stream of the annual Star Wars Celebration event.

The plans for a third season were obvious for viewers of the popular animated show to uncover, after the major cliffhangers and questions we were left with in the Season 2 finale. But, we now know that it is expected to release sometime on the streaming service in 2024.

Season 2 Finale – Tech, Hemlock, and The Bad Batch

One of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind after the Season 2 finale is if Tech is alive or dead. While we saw him sacrifice himself for his crew and plummet toward the ground, there are still some ways he could be brought back.

Season 3 will give us a definitive answer but it is possible that, with all of the technology available to him, Dr. Hemlock would try to keep him alive. Knowing that Tech’s gene mutation gives him incredible intelligence. This is likely something that Hemlock would want to research in Season 3, and we could see him keep tech’s brain alive in some capacity.

Now that The Bad Batch has been imprisoned after Cid’s betrayal, we also have a rough idea of what is next for each of them. It was revealed that Hunter, Echo, and Wrecker will be interrogated by Governor Tarkin himself. This will probably be an attempt to track down other threats to the Empire like Captain Rex, Saw Gererra and others The Bad Batch has contacted.

Omega, Crosshair and Emerie Karr in Season 3

Omega has a different fate, however, and will be used as a pawn to manipulate Nala Se, to complete Hemlock’s new experiments going forward. The Bad Batch Season 3 will likely lay a lot of the groundwork for explaining Palpatine’s return in the sequel trilogy. The focus on gene splicing clones to make them force-sensitive is likely the biggest priority.

As we’ve seen in recent episodes, Crosshair will probably be the leading test subject for these experiments. If any of these unusual tests work, adding force sensitivity and other strengths to his incredible accuracy, he could turn into someone incredibly powerful in the next season.

Another big cliffhanger was the reveal of Emerie Karr, the female clone engineer, to Omega in the closing scene. While many viewers had suspected them of being sisters, we will now get to see how their relationship develops in close proximity to each other in the Mount Tantiss base.

As for what else we might see, it is clear that many of the heroes are in massive danger, so some of their allies might have to intervene. Captain Rex and other Rebels have appeared already but to stage a proper rescue mission in Mount Tantiss might need the help of a Jedi. Unfortunately, until a trailer or new info is teased, we will just have to wait and see how The Bad Batch gets out of this one in Season 3.
